Most Anticipated Games of 2014 Part 2

5. Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS

Super Smash Bros. Wii is my favorite fighting game of all time (sorry PlayStation All Stars). The amount of fun the game provided for endless hours was just staggering. Its sequel on the Wii U will be in crisp 720 p HD visuals and on the 3DS it will be in stereotypical 3D.

Players use a variety of attacks to damage their opponent, increasing their damage percentage which makes them easier to knock out of the playing field. Smash Balls, first introduced in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, make a return, allowing whoever obtains them to perform extremely powerful attacks. Smash Bros will have iconic characters from the Nintendo Universe fighting it out on the stage ranging from Mario to Zelda to Mega Man. How can you not be hyped for this?

Release Date: Q3 2014

4. Titanfall

In Titanfall, players fight in online multiplayer-only matches set on a war-torn planet as mech-style Titans and their pilots. Its action is fast-paced, including abilities to run on walls and hijack mechs, and extended periods between player deaths. Respawn describes the game as bringing "scale, verticality, and story" to first-person shooter multiplayer gaming, incorporating elements traditionally used in single-player campaigns. Titanfall is an Xbox 360/ Xbox One/ Windows exclusive meaning if you buy a PS4 or a Wii U  ou won't be able to play this amazing game.

3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

This game seems to do everything that Skyrim does and more. It has a dynamic world which actually changes how the world reacts to you and your actions actually make a difference in the game. The Witcher 3 will feature the new REDengine 3 game engine, developed by CD Projekt RED and designed specifically for nonlinear role-playing video games set in vast open world environments.[10] It is supposed to help eliminate many of the game development trade-offs previous developers faced, allowing The Witcher 3 developers to create "an open environment with a complex, multi-thread story. As in the prior two The Witcher games, players are presented with a complex story featuring multiple choices bearing associated consequences. But REDengine allows for a complex story line without sacrificing the design of the virtual world. Consequently, The Witcher 3 features no loading screens, providing players a vast visual environment that allows players to freely explore and roam. The Witcher 3 has a massive and diverse open world with a multitude of regions varying in climate. Also water will play a prominent role with waves varying in height. In case of a storm it is not recommended to go boating. (Hint)

2. Destiny

Bungie has emphasized that the universe of Destiny will be "alive". Events may happen in-game that are not necessarily controlled or planned by the developer, which will help to create a dynamic developing experience for Bungie and a dynamic playing experience for gamers. The game's style has been described as an always-online first-person shooter that will incorporate massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements, but Bungie has avoided defining Destiny as a traditional MMO game. Instead, the game has been referred to as a "shared-world shooter, as it lacks many of the characteristics of a traditional MMO game. Destiny will include on-the-fly matchmaking that will allow players to see and interact only with other players with whom they are "matched" by the game.Destiny will incorporate a new game engine that allows global illuminations and real-time dynamic lighting to occur together. An innovation in Bungie's "hopper" technology, which has been the backbone for Halo's matchmaking system, will allow better player matchmaking in order to create a more natural experience in either cooperative or competitive multiplayer modes. Destiny is one of my most anticipated games of 2014 since I saw the E3 trailer. The possibilities are simply endless.

1. The Division

The Division is an upcoming online multiplayer third-person tactical shooter action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Massive under the Tom Clancy brand for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.Gameplay revolves around a post-apocalyptic New York City, with players exploring the devastated city while under fire from opposing groups.

The Division is inspired by Operation Dark Winter and Directive 51, real-world events which "revealed how vulnerable we've become"; society has become "fragile" and "complex". In the game, a disease that spreads on Black Friday causes the United States to collapse in five days. The player is part of a group   called "The Division". This group was established to combat the threat and do whatever it takes to "save what remains" in a massive multiplayer online situation, putting them against friends, AI, and other players. The gameplay was stunning with the Snowdrop engine showcasing the capability of the next generation consoles. The Division is our most anticipated game of 2014. Thank You for reading.
