The Wii U

The Wii U was the first released 8th generation Home Console on November 30, 2012. Once again, we see Nintendo bringing in innovative methods to gameplay that make gaming on this console very interesting. From some titles like New Super Mario Bros U, the Wii U has already shown its great potential for both single and multiplayer. The gamepad, its biggest change, has given the Wii U a greatly unique experience. Since the Wii U released over a year ago, it has gradually accumulated a great software lineup. Many people disregard the Wii U because Nintendo has started to make content targetted toward a younger audience. However, this does not diminish the merit or the quality in Nintendo's first-party titles like Super Mario, Pickmin, and the Legend of Zelda. Not only that, but the Wii U has earned third-party support as well with franchises like Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed and Activision's Call of Duty (Black Flag and Ghosts already being released) .With some fantastic games out already and more to come in 2014 (like the new Super Smash Bros!), the Wii U is currently as great a buy as the other current-gen consoles.
