Most Anticipated Games of 2014
10. Dragon Age: Inquisition
Its a miracle that such a promising game like Dragon Age:Inquisition is a lowly 10th on this list. This just shows the quality of games releasing in 2014. Inquisition is a fantasy RPG made by Bioware Studios (also known for making the Mass Effect trilogy). After the disappointment of Dragon Age II, Bioware have seemed to learn from their mistakes and have righted their previous wrongs. Bolstered by the presence of next generation hardware, Dragon Age will use the Frostbite 3 engine to showcase the vistas of the world which will span ice capped mountains to the burning deserts to the swampy marshes. Bioware has created a gigantic dynamic world which will react differently to your character based on his actions. Fall 2014 can't come any sooner.
9. Mario Kart 8
With the Wii U struggling to keep up with the PS4 and the X1, this will help them to perhaps reverse their fortunes. Mario Kart is a system seller for good reason. One of the most enjoyable kart racers in existence today, Mario Kart 8 will be the first in the series to make the (long awaited) transition to HD graphics. Motorbikes and gliders are making a return as are the underwater levels in Mario Kart 7. With Nintendo pushing its social and online infrastructure, it is introducing Mario Kart TV where players can post clips of their memorable races. 12 player online matches are also making a return.

8. Watch Dogs
Man, I have no idea what those folks at Ubisoft are upto these days. Releasing quality games one after another without even a slight misstep. Rayman Legends , Splinter Cell:Blacklist, Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag were all amazing games and I have no doubt that Ubisoft's open-world Hacking adventure will be the same. Hacking into people's phones to retrieve bank data and steal funds, triggering malfunctions in equipment to distract other characters and hacking into traffic lights to cause collisions will be prominent parts of the game. Players can also receive information on civilians via augmented reality feeds, providing the player with information on demographics, health and potential behaviour. Watch Dogs is on our watch for GOTY 2014 candidates.

7. Elder Scrolls Online
I am always waiting for an excuse to run back to Tamriel for my RPG fix. Even with all the amazing fantasy RPG's coming out, the Elder Scrolls remains one of the most immersive and fun RPG's to play. Now however, the game is an MMO where you can participate in quests with friends and essentially play a co-op Elder Scrolls. The downside is that there is a monthly fee of $15 but Oh well, You can't have everything in life. ESO takes place 1000 years before the events of Skyrim and the player will be assigned to save the world from the wrath of Molag Bal.Most of the continent of Tamriel will be playable in the game, and players will have the opportunity to join any of the three factions warring over the throne of the Emperor of Tamriel: The Aldmeri Dominion (represented by an eagle), composed of Altmer (High elf), Bosmer (Wood elf), and Khajiit; the Daggerfall Covenant (represented by a lion), composed of Bretons, Redguards, and Orsimer (Orcs); and the Ebonheart Pact (represented by a dragon), composed of Nords, Dunmer (Dark elf) and Argonians. Among the many MMO's coming out next year, Elder Scrolls Online is definitely on our list to buy.
6. The Crew
I freely admit that I never was a massive fan of Racing games as I didn't consider them as fun as the other genres of gaming. Atleast I used to, before I saw the Crew. I don't understand what attracted me to the crew, was it the concept of driving across the entire United States? or was it the joy of being in a crew with my friends? Was it because the game is made by Ubisoft, whose impeccable track record convinced me? Whatever the reason, The Crew has turned me into a believer into the genre of Racing as well as the concept of MMO's (along with a few other games). The Crew takes 90 minutes to drive from coast to coast in-game. The single-player campaign is 20 hours long, and involves infiltrating criminal gangs. Missions can be played alone, with friends, or with online co-op matchmaking. The multiplayer mode lets players create teams to compete online in races and other gametypes. There are no in-game loading screens or pauses. Players can also build cars with a tie-in app for iOS and Android.
