10 MUST PLAY EXCLUSIVES OF THE PS3
10. Little Big Planet 2
Little Big Planet 2 is a delightful platformer which promotes creativity among its players. It does everything right as a platformer having clever level design and you rarely feel that you are repeating an action. It manages to make every level seem unique. Its User Generated Content in which players can even upload their own levels and download other players level is a landmark in user generated content in gaming. Add to the fact that it is one of the few games in this generation which can be played with 4 player local co-op and you have yourself a winner. Plus Sackboy is cute. Isn't he?
9. Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
Our favorite Lombax returned after a multitude of successes in a row. Following the PS3 launch title "Ratchet and Clank:Tools of Destruction" and the downloadable title "Quest for Booty". This game was the finale of the trilogy of Insomniac Games on the PS3. It improved everything over Tools of Destruction which arguably deserves a place on this list. The Clank sections were a breather from the constant shooting of Ratchet. With some refreshing puzzles, great boss battles, a load of planets to explore, This Ratchet was the best game of the series since "Up Your Arsenal"on the PS2.
8. Infamous 2
The choice between Infamous 1 and Infamous 2 was a hard one. In the end however, I think New Marais was simply more interesting to explore than Empire City. Add to that, Infamous 2 had superior graphics as compared to the tad ordinary graphics of the original. Cole controls like a dream, his movement and attacks have been tightened. The choice to befriend either Kuo or Nix leads to the use of either fire or ice attacks along with your electric arsenal increases the replayability of the game. Moreover the game is playable as both good or bad which both lead to unique endings depending on your choice. Play this game if you're a fan of Super Hero games, a fan of Open Word games or both.
7. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
A great series in its own right but I admit that I never got that into Metal Gear series mainly due to its archaic controls. However when I played Metal Gear Solid 4 I felt that it was one of the Metal Gear games I liked due to its updated controls and I considered it one of the greatest games of all time and it was a fitting finale to one of the most recognizable mascots in video games "Solid Snake". Featuring Old Snake, this game introduced a Stamina as well as a Psych meter which we had to carefully maintain throughout the game. The setting in the Middle-East along with the inclusion Nano machine soldiers gave an epic feel to the game. As Metal Gear ended , a part of Gaming History was written with its emotional finale.
NOTE: Metal Gear Solid 5:Phantom Pain is a sequel to Metal Gear:Peace Walker on the PSP. It is not a continuation to Metal Gear Solid 4.
